Matty Cassell

He/Him

DIRECTOR

HEAD OF ROTHERHAM DIVISION

Matty founded Football for Foodbanks because he had tried and failed to find casual football in his local area. He also felt that food insecurity was not being addressed well enough, which is why he ended up marrying the two. Two years and 150 appearances in, he's still going, and he’ll keep going till the wheels fall off.

Al Rhind-Tutt

She/They

DIRECTOR

HEAD OF SHEFFIELD WGM DIVISION

Al joined Football for Foodbanks in 2020 to launch the first Women and Gender Minorities Division. She loves welcoming new players, hates washing bibs, and was once reluctantly subbed on for the men’s division wearing denim dungarees. FFF also led Al to her day job where she works as a Science Communicator for a cancer charity. Outside of the third sector, you can find her lost in the Peak District on weekends or enjoying a post-match ice cream.

Tom Moore

He/Him

DIRECTOR

HEAD OF MANCHESTER DIVISION

Dipping his toe back into football in 2020 with a dodgy knee, Tom began playing with Football For Foodbanks Sheffield before moving to Manchester in 2021 and setting up our second location. Undertaking PhD research on grassroots community organizing, he brings this passion and knowledge to FFF. Tom loves to work with local communities to make a real difference in their neighbourhoods through football and sport.

Adam

He/Him

HEAD OF MANCHESTER MEN'S DIVISION

Adam believes that Football for Foodbanks is a perfect combo of personal well-being, exercise, socialising, and giving something back to the community. "I was the awkward, chubby kid at school who didn't have the confidence to get into team sport, but at FFF I feel right at home." Adam is FFF Manchester through and through, and has been an integral part of growing this Division and its continued success.

Amy Dillon

She/Her

HEAD OF MANCHESTER WGM DIVISION

After moving to Manchester in 2021, Amy spotted an advert in a local magazine for the Women and Gender Minorities Division of Manchester Football For Foodbanks. After plucking up the courage, she attended one of the first sessions and hasn’t stopped coming since. It isn’t just the football that keeps Amy coming back though, it’s the friends she’s made along the way!

H Barker

They/She

HEAD OF MANCHESTER WGM DIVISION

H joined Football for Foodbanks in 2021 and found it a perfect place to get back into football after years of sticking to the sidelines. H is really passionate about inclusivity in sports and loves helping the Manchester WGM division provide football to everyone, regardless of their ability. They value the sense of belonging that playing with FFF brings, alongside the opportunities to support their local community. Studying a PhD in Molecular Biology, they also find FFF a great way to relax and switch off.

George Else

He/Him

CREATIVE LEAD

HEAD OF SHEFFIELD MEN'S DIVISION

George joined Football for Foodbanks in its early days, and hasn’t looked back since. While being the first to rack up 100 appearances for FFF, George has also been quite busy behind the scenes. Although his game time has been limited recently due to a dodgy knee, he has been working hard on building the FFF brand. Despite the injury, this hasn’t stopped him from supporting from the sidelines on a weekly basis.

Jack Emmens

He/Him

HEAD OF CHESTERFIELD MEN'S DIVISION

After deeming himself too unfit and brittle for the rough and tumble of competitive football, Jack began playing with Football For Foodbanks Sheffield before taking the concept down the A61 to his hometown of Chesterfield. Having been part of a range of different community groups since childhood, Jack knows how important the social side of football can be. He strives to create an environment in which everyone can flourish and enjoy themselves.

Amy Calpin

She/Her

HEAD OF CHESTERFIELDS WGM DIVISION

A former 11-a-side goalkeeper with Chesterfield Ladies, Amy found her way to the Sheffield Football For Foodbanks group after a significant time away from the sport. After falling back in love with the game through the small-sided versions of the football, she launched the Chesterfield WGM group. By championing the mental and physical health benefits of football, Amy has created a safe space for anyone to go and play. Whether that be those still competing in Sunday league teams or those who haven’t kicked a ball since primary school.

Jack Reed

He/Him

HEAD OF NORTHAMPTON DIVISION

Jack first got involved with Football For Foodbanks in Sheffield following COVID, after a long time out from the sport. He says that he quickly found a love for football again thanks to the positivity that FFF creates. After racking up well over 50 appearances in Sheffield he ended up moving home to Northampton and wanted to offer the same opportunities to people in his hometown.Jack’s also a huge Arsenal fan so things have been really looking good for him recently.

Oliver Green
